Charlotte has a deep understanding and knowledge of the human body. Throughout the sessions, she has taken the time to get to know my body’s idiosyncrasies, understanding which areas need strengthening and which areas are over-compensating for others. This level of individualized attention and insight has been instrumental in helping me develop a greater understanding of my own body and its unique needs.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a compassionate and knowledgeable guide on my journey towards wellness. I wholeheartedly recommend Charlotte to anyone seeking to improve their strength and mobility through a practice that is sustainable and enjoyable.

One of my New Year’s resolutions was to focus more on wellness. I had heard about breath work practices but never really found guided podcasts etc. very satisfying, so when I saw Charlotte’s class advertised I thought I would give it a try. I’m so glad I did!
I find her classes deeply relaxing, not just during the class, but there is a lasting benefit through the week. I’ve noticed that I’m calmer and more able to take a moment and reflect before responding in triggering situations.
I’m a long term poor sleeper. While Charlotte’s classes haven’t provided a miracle cure, they have provided me with tools that I can used to be clam and relaxed when I’m awake in the middle of the night.
Charlotte has a wonderful calm and relaxing voice and manner of speaking. I really love her breath work classes and look forward to them every week.

Charlotte’s yoga classes truly meet you where you are at. You bring your whole self to the class and take what your body needs, individually, no judgment. Her thoughtful and compassionate teaching style always leaves me feeling restored.
— Retreat Attendee
The retreat was an awakening for me and an opportunity to learn and listen to my body. I loved the way Charlotte was able to adapt the practices for all the different levels of experience in the Sala and always felt supported - it was a beautiful and grounding experience
— Paula
I appreciate how Charlotte creates a space for deep self inquiry in a respectful and safe manner.
— Retreat Attendee
I came to the retreat to de stress and I got so much more out of it. I relearned asana as a steady comfortable position one that does not disrupt the peace within. I learnt that taking time to explore a pose was beneficial to my breath and body connection. Charlotte style is unique , and this adds value to those with immobility issues as her therapy techniques are effective.
— Lakshmi
I am always stunned and wordless (otherwise an impossibility for me!) after a retreat at your home. It is like entering a movie-style force-field which banishes and holds out all negativity. Troubles are left at the door, and peace and serenity reign. Thanks to your family for allowing their space to be bombarded!

I love the “evolved” yoga methodology of this event, which removed the consciousness of “WHAT am I moving,” and “am I doing it correctly?”, into; why am I doing it?” Each of the two sessions seemed to zoom by within minutes, but instead of a mixed feel of recognition of what I could and couldn’t do, I felt that I had done each step to the best of my ability and with the best impact for me. The personalising of proprioception was beneficial and effective. As I said, I felt you had tailored the class to meet my needs, whereas, you had achieved the same for us all.

Charlotte’s perimenopause yoga class is truly a one of its kind in Hong Kong. She has done extensive research in how yoga can alleviate perimenopausal symptoms and shared her findings at the beginning of the class. I’ve done many yoga classes before and what distinguishes her class from others is her belief that we should listen to our body during yoga practice instead of striving for a certain aesthetic of a posture. Aesthetic has no place in her class. Instead, we should tune in and feel our body deeply. I believe this is what yoga is all about.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the process and practice of working with Charlotte Douglas and her programme around breath and breathing.

It has been an interesting, enlightening and thought provoking experience, around a process that is largely unnoticed and unconscious the majority of our life.
I have learned much about my body as a whole and how I ultimately connect to it and the world around me.

Charlotte applies a holistic individual care process to her non-judgemental programme. She is kind, interested and clear in her delivery about what she would like her clients to gain at each step of the course.

I can highly recommend this course and Charlotte Douglas as a therapist, educator and instructor.
— Rebecca Bushell
I have known and worked with Charlotte for a number of years in her role as a yoga therapist. Her focus on breath work, gentle yoga and understanding both the limitations and capabilities of each individual body in the class has been exactly what I needed as I worked through some physical issues and limitations. I have benefited hugely from her expertise - both physically and mentally. Charlotte also introduced me to Kevin Moore the founder of Reembody and her now being trained in Reembody methods is quite simply fabulous. Charlotte has a rare gift in that she is able to really listen. She can cut through the noise which enables her to focus on the real issue and offer appropriate instructions to improve how my body functions.. I trust her implicitly to understand what I am able to achieve. There is no fear that I will leave a session feeling worse than I did when I arrived - the opposite is true.
— Niamh Armitage
Thank YOU for a wonderful practice this morning. I wish for everyone in HK to have more time on the mat with you. You really do have a gift for sharing your lived experienced in a human body.
— Melissa Shadforth
After a poor night’s sleep (sore) the universe pushed me back towards your online nourishment video this morning. The universe is very clever. The opening spinal spiral sequence was exactly what I needed. Of course I carried on after that and am all fully opened up and feeling much better now. Thank you to you and the universe
— Online yoga with Charlotte
I started yoga eight months ago, and under the guidance of Charlotte, it has changed my life for the better in so many ways. She is calm and kindness personified and has no limits to her generosity and giving - not only on the mat but way beyond. My spiritual journey feels cosseted and safe because of Charlotte’s protection. Online has added challenges but the resonance of her voice is as instantly calming as in the studio. All advice and learning that Charlotte delivers is personalised and from a full heart.

Firstly, thank YOU for such a wonderful day yesterday. I can’t believe that it is only a few weeks since I psyched myself up enough to try a class. You have given me so much: a new found confidence and pleasure.

To open your home the way you did, and to share such harmony and peace, is so generous, and appreciated beyond measure. I so enjoyed it: the yoga, the calm, the company of the other ladies - and of course - as you had said, the delicious meal!!

Thank you, thank you.

I’ve just got back from attending Charlotte’s retreat at Kaomai Lanna in Chiang Mai, and it was bliss. We took much-needed time to focus on health, calm and the restorative power of yoga. The venue was beautiful (so much nature), the food was healthy home-cooked Thai, and the yoga shala was a truly special place. Charlotte is a brilliant teacher and communicates so clearly how to connect to your body and listen to it. These can be quite abstract concepts but she has the ability to explain it so that you really get it. I feel so lucky for having this opportunity. FB only allows me to give 5 out of 5 - I’d give 6 out of 5 if I could
— Sarah Lazarus
Thank you so much for the lovely day! This is exactly what we needed after the holidays. Love the vibes, the practices into inquiries and breath centered as well as the restorative part in the end! Perfectly beautiful and relaxing location of lovely hidden gem/home as well as easy access to the beach for a swim in between the practice.

I had been experiencing quite severe back and pelvic pain for a couple of years and tried a lot of different yoga practices to no avail. I had two sessions with Charlotte remotely over zoom (I’m in London) - one where Charlotte accurately worked out where I was having problems and the other to deliver a totally bespoke set of movement that I now use every day. My pain is now a thing of the past. It was also a deeply moving and transformational experience. Her breath practise is a total game changer - really allowing me to connect with my body in a completely non judgmental way. Its changed my life. I never thought a remote practice could be so effective but it was just like having her in the room with me. And because I have it as a recording - she’s in my room every day. Cannot recommend highly enough
— D.S. - Zoom 1-2-1
Absolutely love this combination and will definitely be coming for more. Everyone needs this in their life. It was such a lovely day to reflect. I really enjoyed the journalling as part of the creative process; It allowed time for insight, with the art and yoga allowing time to process. Was very meditative and relaxing. I really enjoyed the flow of the day. Thank you Katie and Charlotte!
— Siobbhan - Art & Yoga Day Retreat Attendee
I can absolutely say that my weekly 1-2-1 with you for the last 4 years has resolved my back pain and significantly contributed to my emotional wellbeing. I love the fact that every session is completely different and tailored to my individual needs on the day. I’ve never failed to feel better after a session with you however I’ve felt at the start.
— Emma Ross
You combine a lack of expectation of what the physical body is able to achieve at any one time (pretzel shapes etc) with a rigour and a total belief in the power of yoga to transform EVERY body. For this you quietly but effectively expect attention, focus and a respect of the practice. Achieving this without any harshness or negativity is a rare talent.
— Niamh Armitage
One of the things that I love about your classes is the non-judgemental and kind way the classes are - unlike the regular studio. And you attract a like minded type of clientele who really appreciate your gentle, embracing approach. It makes everyone feel able to join and to achieve something
— Glenys
Charlotte Douglas is the real deal - a dedicated yoga practitioner, a deeply reflective, kind, human, and a gifted teacher and therapist. If you are seeking support for healing or greater wellness on any level, seek out Charlotte. You’ll feel better just being in her calm presence, and you can trust her to offer only the best in holistic services.”
— Chandrika Gibson - Wisdom Yoga Institute
Thank you for the powerful and transformative session today. Your great strength and confidence is positively contagious! Feeling stronger and more confident.
— Myriam
Your yoga retreats are the best
— Sarah Lazarus
I have done 10 private sessions with Charlotte. I started with her as I had never heard of restorative yoga before and I had tried all sorts of classes, treatments etc for my chronic mobility issues. I have seen some improvement but she has also provided me with some tools that I can take away and practice in my everyday life to maintain the benefits of restorative yoga. I really enjoyed my classes with her and hope to return for a few more later in the year.
— Rashmi Gajree
Mondays are now greeted with more enthusiasm than ever before as I know at the end of the day, I will be able to enjoy yoga with Charlotte. Two things make it really worthwhile for me. Along with her amazing yoga knowledge and skills, Charlotte has a special quality which enables a peaceful and calm atmosphere during our class. For me, with a somewhat skewed body – scoliosis, arthritis etc and very limited stretch, it is the first time I have actually enjoyed yoga in a group environment
— Marianne
Charlotte made a big difference to my recovery following my knee surgery in 2017. The fact that we were able to keep practising when I couldn’t even get out of a chair was a bright spot in 8 difficult weeks on crutches. You helped me physically and emotionally through a tough time and I will always be truly grateful for that.
— Caroline
Inspirational teaching!

I just wanted to say again, what a fantastic weekend it was. You are a very talented lady with a wonderful teaching style and manner. I enjoyed everything greatly, especially the yoga, and given I’m not a yoga regular or terribly experienced, I think that means you have a very wide audience that your workshops will appeal to.
